Wihinei Rita & L'Horrible Passion - Les Fleurs du Mal, October 13th, 2012

Des concerts exceptionnels se tiendront aux Fleurs du Mal le samedi 13 octobre. Pour ce rituel, les projets barcelonais L'Horrible Passion et Wihinei Rita, side-project des musiciens d'Arnicà, vont conjuguer leurs forces afin de proposer aux chanceux un moment unique où se mélangent poésie noire, atmosphères sombres et évocatrices, percussions martiales, néofolk apocalyptique et invocations psychédéliques.

La soirée sera baignée dans une ambiance sonore assurée par L'Horrible Isaac (dark ambient, death industrial, neo folk, traditional folk, martial, experimental, ritual...)

L'HORRIBLE PASSION

Remarqué par leur premier album, Lucidique ou les limites du bon sens (2009) et créé par l'Horrible Isaac, fameux DJ deathrock/batcave/dark folk barcelonais, L'Horrible Passion développe des ambiances ténébreuses inspirées autant par les expérimentations post-industrielles des Joyaux de la Princesse, le spleen romantique  et décadent de Sopor Aeternus et les meilleurs groupes dark ambient du label Cold Meat Industry, avec la dose qu'il faut de sonorités martiales et néoclassiques.

WIHINEI RITA

Nouveau projet d'ambient folk/rituelle de Daniel P., membre fondateur d'Arnicà qui étaient venus aux Fleurs du Mal en septembre 2011 pour un concert de folk païenne mémorable. Si la musique d'Arnicà se situe du côté du primitif et des forces telluriques et solaires, Wihinei Rita se fait plus cérémonieux, lunaire et psychédélique. Souvent mélancolique, la musique est portée par des chants traditionnels, des spoken words et des guitares doom folk.

Two years ago, we received an ambient/drone project named Clone in our radio studios for a live session. It was quite new at the time. Now it has evolved and become part of a larger entity named RRR. Behind it is the same person : Sébastien Bach. During these two years, he released six records and the latest one, Level 75, was released on Nowaki label. We talked about all the things that happened during those two years and explored these new recordings. We also invited him to come back for a new live session in the studios. So it should happen one of these days.

By the end of March, we went to see several times Volcano the Bear during their French tour. After their show in Albi, we had a long conversation with Daniel Padden and Aaron Moore and here is the recording of it.
