We met the English band Naevus as they were invited to perform for the first time In France at the Café de la Danse. DF n°81, Interview with DRAHOMIRA SONG ORCHESTRA, March 30, 2009

Drahomira Song Orchestra is one of France's most hidden treasures. Their music is pure obsessional beauty. This concert at the Maison des Métallos was a real revelation and it gave us the will to open our commemorative compilation Icy Breath on Burning Flesh with this very creative band. DF n°78, Interview with FRONT 242, February 16th, 2009

We met Patrick Codenys from the Belgian band FRONT 242 as they came to play in Toulouse at the famous local venue called Le Bikini. We talked about the story of these pioneers of the Electronic Body Music style, and Patrick told us a great deal of anecdotes. In some ways, it is the second part of a longer show, since in the previous radio programme, we had an interview with the dance company LA ZAMPA and Patrick Codenys created some soundtracks for their performances. The end of the show is missing, but you have the entire interview.
The photographs you see below were taken by our friend and very talented photographer Erik Damiano, during FRONT 242's concert.

DF n°74, Interview with KINK GONG, December 22nd, 2008

Kink Gong, aka Laurent Jeanneau, is an ethnographer and electronic musician, who has been recording for many years the traditional ritualistic music from the ethnic groups of China, India or Vetnam among other countries of the Orient. He mixes electroacoustic composition techniques with these very tribal and unique recordings. This is an important memory work he has done and published on many CDs. This radio show is like a Mondo trip into the jungle, with funeral rites in the background. From Tanzania to Libia or Laos, you can pack your bags for a real ritualistic moment!

DF n°72, Interview with HOROLOGIUM, November 24th, 2008

In September 2008, we went to the Mediterranean Autumn Festival organized by David from La Esencia in Barcelona. It was the opportunity for us to meet some artists of the post-industrial scene, such as Horologium, the project from Grzegorz Siedlecki from Poland. We have often played his music so we wanted to see what it looked like on stage. Unfortunately, we got lost in the city and we arrived too late for his concert. We were quite disappointed but we talked with him anyway about his work.

DF n°71, Interview with HERMANN KOPP, November 10th, 2008

Hermann Kopp corresponds to our definition of the real artist, with a visionary strength and a very personal approach. Since his minimal electro classics Aquaplaning in Venedig and Pop in the very early eighties, and his soundtracks for Nekromantik, Nekromantik 2 and Der Todesking by Jörg Buttgereit, his violin-playing has just haunted our minds. We have met him in Barcelona as he had just released one of his masterpieces, Under a Demon's Mask on Galakthorrö. This is quite an extensive interview, and it was a great moment for us. We are still in touch with the artist, who is a very humble, interesting and kind person. You can only like him instantly. And we asked him to participate in our commemorative compilation-CD, Icy Breath on Burning Flesh, for which he created a fascinating piece inspired by Rimbaud's "Le Bal des Pendus". If you enjoy his universe, we played his music for three hours. Recommended for Kopp addicts!

DF n°70, Interview with ABSOLUTE BODY CONTROL, October 27th, 2008

This show was minimal synth-oriented with the kings of the genre, Absolute Body Control. We met them in Paris at a moment when they had just reformed. What is funny is that I think we had discovered the reverb function on the mixing table, so there are ridiculous echo effects on our voices at the beginning of the show.

Here's the playlist:

ASMUS TIETCHENS, Regenwald
PERPLEXIONS, You can live the real you
